Hallway Laminate Flooring
Hallway Laminate Flooring
Hallways are high traffic areas so it’s important to choose a durable and hardwearing material – laminate is a cost-effective solution that is easy to maintain and relatively quick to install. Modern laminate flooring has a better use of graphics and micro-bevels that provide an authentic look that is closer to real wood flooring, but at a fraction of the cost. Hallways are often busy thoroughfares so having a solution that can be installed quickly is important to ensure that the space isn’t out of use for too long – laminate is ideal, as it typically fits together in a click-lock system that means you can make progress quickly.
Durability of Hallway Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring has a protective top coating which protects the photographic layer underneath, making it somewhat resistant to scratches, dents and staining. It’s an easy material to maintain and keep clean, so it’s a great option for homes – it doesn’t need to be waxed to retain the shine and can be vacuumed or mopped to keep it hygienic and free from dust and spills. One of the disadvantages of laminate is that it can’t be refinished in the same way that solid wood flooring can, so deeper scratches and dents can’t be sanded out. However, if laminate is cared for properly, it can last for decades, making it a great and cost-effective investment.
Varieties of Hallway Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring suits this area of a home or business well, plus there’s a wide variety of styles to choose from to suit different décor styles, from timeless to contemporary properties. Hallway laminate flooring comes in several thicknesses and lengths to suit different looks, as well as a host of colours, from pale neutrals like beige and grey to darker browns, blacks and those which replicate the natural finish of oak. There are also joining options available, with click-lock systems and 5G locking systems, depending on your requirements. The versatility of laminate flooring means it works well in many spaces, from bedrooms and living rooms to conservatories, kitchens and hallways. We offer 8mm laminate and 12mm laminate.
Installation
Laminate is easy to install which is one of the reasons why it’s such a popular solution compared to other styles of flooring, which can be more complex to fit. Laminate can be installed over more substrates, including wood, concrete, existing vinyl and even over underfloor heating. This type of flooring doesn’t need to be nailed or glued to the subfloor, so it’s quick to install – most varieties are fitted using a click lock laminate so the boards fit together like puzzle pieces.

We offer up to three samples of laminate flooring per customer, so that you can compare your choices and ensure you’re making the right one for your space.
